This building is part of a very prestigious Haygazian University in Beirut Lebanon, with historic buildings and lots of Armenian heritage. As part of their renovation and expansion, Block B building was totally demolished to be rebuilt with the exception of the external shell. All perimeter walls were underpinned with steel micropiles, the inside structure was removed, internal bracing system was installed temporarily to maintain stability of the facades, and an extra basement level was excavated. IGM s role was to design the underpinning system and execute the micropiles with all the load transfer caps, and supervise the excavation and steel construction works.
