The project consists of installing 2 wind turbines, 10MW each for the Jordan family at 2 different sites. One turbine was installed and prior to commissioning there were doubts about the safety and quality of the installation process.
IGM was contracted to conduct a site visit with evaluation of the geotechnical and structural engineering works. A Comprehensive report with recommendations on how to successfully bring this project to fruition was issued.
Another evaluation was conducted after the failure of 2 blades during a high wind storm. Turbine was deemed unsuitable for this site and was brought down in compliance with original IGM recommendations.
