The Lot # 181 Zqaq El Blat project consists of a residential building composed of 4 basements levels and 6 upper floors. The site is bound from the east and the south west by 2 empty lots used as parking, Two 5 story buildings with one basement each on the north side, a 3 story building with one old arcade basement on the south east side and an access roads on the west side. The site is almost square and covering a surface area of 1423m2. The topsoil layer (about 2-3m) consists of silt and sandy clay and fractured hard marl is found under this layer. The depth of excavation is about 15m. The shoring of this excavation uses a combination of micropiles and 2 rows of anchors underlined by 3 rows of nails under adjacent buildings. The empty lots and the road sides are supported by a nailed shotcrete system.
